The documents are a part of an ongoing consultation process and the current documents are a revision of those released in June.

The Improving Institutional Confidence (IIC) in ICANN consultation has entered a second public comment period that will run until Monday 20 October 2008.

The consultation is being run out of the President's Strategy Committee (PSC) and will continue to receive comment on the key areas outlined in the document at a series of regional consultative consultations.

ICANN says that the outcome of those regional meetings, along with the feedback from the first and this second comment period, will result in documents produced in time for a special IIC session at ICANN's international public meeting in Cairo on 2-7 November.

Full details of the regional meetings can be found at: http://www.icann.org/en/jpa/iic/regional-meetings.htm

The process started more than two years ago when the President's Strategy Committee (PSC) commenced a series of consultations on how to strengthen and complete the ICANN multi-stakeholder model.

See the ICANN web page on this second IIC consultation for more information.
