Information For Application Developers
The purpose of this page is to share useful and practical information about IPv6 deployment for application developers.
The term 'application developers' encompasses web application developers working at content providers, enterprises in various industries, and governmental entities etc.
What knowledge do developers need to make their applications IPv6-enabled? What do application developers need to know while coding dual-stack programs? Are there any hints and tips to ensure a smooth transition from sites running with only IPv4 protocol to dual-stack programs?
People working with application layers need to consider how to prepare for the IPv6 transition period. Unfortunately, there is not much information available currently. So, if you can share your knowledge and experiences with other members of the community, that would be much appreciated.
